Word On The Street

Coming from inner city Philadelphia and having a career in the medical profession I really knew nothing about architecture! That all changed when I met my husband.

Jerry is the owner and president of a small local architectural firm that will get your attention! His homes blend seamlessly into their surroundings.

As you look at his website you’ll see that he create homes that celebrate and are sensitive to their natural environments. Since we love, live and play in these mountains sustainability is very important to Jerry.

He will come up with a simple clearly designed process to guide your project from start to finish.

Your dream home is my husband’s self portrait!!!

I’ve enclosed another issue of A&D of The West for your review – some very nice ideas and items are in this issue

While reviewing the issue, I was reflecting on your project design Progression/improvement from the time we met in 1998 to your latest project in Beaver Creek. Sherry and I are proud to be in your portfolio.

Jerry, you have raised the bar continuously from one project to the next. What is expecially impressive is you accomplish this under the constraints of the various design review boards. Yet, the product delivered is unique, impressive, and stands out from your peers.

In addition, you recently have developed and eye-pleasing signature in your designs. One day people will be able to say. “There’s a Lloyd-Wright, and I.M.Pei, and ‘there’s a Miramonti’ “.

Sherry and I have also appreciated the “touchstone” you have provided during the construction process of our house in Cordillera. Your input and diligence for “getting it right” with regard to the field design has been enthusiastic and invaluable. Your commitment to the project has exceeded our expectations.

We thank you for your talent and friendship.

This letter is being written on behalf of Jerry Meremonte. Jerry was instrumen6al in creating the wonderful outcome in the construction of our mountain home near Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

Although he was not the original architect who designed the house, Jerry enter the project at a critical time, helping to design and re-design many of the details, such as the trim work, stone fireplaces, stairwells and built-ins. Some of these areas demanded special creativity, due to the need to integrate the design into the existing structure and spaces. Jerry’s ideas were not only creative but his work was on time and in keeping with our particular taste and wants. He worked well with us, our construction superintendent and other team members on the project.

We appreciated Jerry’s professionalism and responsiveness and would use his services again if we had a need for an architect. We wish Jerry continued success in his professional endeavors.

Regards,

It is my pleasure to write a letter of recommendation for Jerry Meremonte.

There is nothing more challenging that a long-distance (1,000 mile) design and build. We had a fabulous lot and also had very specific requirements for our finished product, openness but privacy, as small as possible but large enough to comfortably entertain 15-18 people, breathtaking detail but casual, user friendly but loaded with high tech accessories and the list goes on. We did all of the above and more with details communication, drawings and many visits, and at the same time, the plans were alive allowing for many positive changes in the process of the build. All this, with no frustration arguments and not did we gain a great finished product, but also a lasting friendship.

Would we do it again with Jerry? Absolutely!
